The pursuit of happiness is a hot topic nowadays but I suggest that to be truly happy you don't pursue happiness you let it pursue you.
What do I mean?
Happiness isn't a thing or state all by itself it's made up of many parts and what makes you happy won't necessarily work for someone else.
That's why when we try to make others happy we often end up unhappy ourselves.
To be happy our values and needs have to be met. Pursue those and happiness will follow.
