How to make mindful sounds.

Paying attention to the sounds things make can be very calming.

It can be tricky to encourage children to sit still and just notice the sounds around them so get them engaged in making the sounds themselves.

One way you can do this is to use small dried foods like pasta or popcorn from the pantry.

If using food isn't acceptable to you then substitute flour with talcum powder and dried food with small beads or paper clips for instance.

These are just suggestions and you'll have to take into consideration the age of your child (no choking hazards please) and any allergies.
